SUMMARY:Johnny Appleseed Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to wind through the hills of Ohio this fall! 🚗🍁\nNeohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2026 Johnny Appleseed Rally (JAR) on Saturday\, October 24\, 2026. Tracing its roots back to an SCCA National rally from the 1950s\, this historic event returns as an absolute straightforward\, gimmick-free\, Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with an emphasis on precise timing at well-placed controls.\nHere is what you need to know:\n\nThe Route: A scenic ~140-mile journey through the hills of Ohio’s Tuscarawas and surrounding counties\, perfectly timed for near-peak fall foliage.\nThe Format: Columnar “tulip” style route instructions with Official Mileages for all action points\, similar to a stage rally routebook.\nBeginner Friendly Features: To help teams with limited timekeeping experience stay on schedule—and avoid “double jeopardy” penalties—parenthetical perfect cumulative leg times will be provided at all speed change locations.\nChampionship Points: This event counts toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division (GLD) Rally Championship and the SCCA National Touring Rally (NTR) Championship (Divisional Rally).\n\nWhether you are chasing a championship or looking for an incredible autumn drive\, the Johnny Appleseed Rally is the perfect challenge.
