DESCRIPTION:The Neohio Region of SCCA is excited to welcome you to the thrilling world of motorsports! \nWe will be showcasing all of our programs and how to get involved trackside at an engaging motorsports expo. Whether you are interested in driving or learning about the behind-the-scenes of racing\, this event is for you! Join us at Boss Pro-Karting on April 25 starting at 9:00 am! \nThis event includes lunch and one karting race\, a $40 value for just $10! You must be checked in by 10:00 AM to be eligible to race. \nTHIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO NON-SCCA MEMBERS! \nThe day will include presentations from program representatives covering Solo\, Street Survival\, RallyCross\, Road Rally\, Time Trials and Road Racing. There will be presentations by representatives from all of our volunteer specialties as well so you can learn about opportunities to get involved in aspects of the sport such as Flagging & Communications (Corner Marshals)\, Emergency Services\, Timing & Scoring\, Tech\, Registration\, Pit & Grid and so on.  We will also have a variety of sponsors there from various companies that support motorsports enthusiasts. \nThis exciting day will include: presentations\, karting\, information stations\, a car show and valuable door prizes including Summit Racing Gift Cards and a Road-Keeper Video/Data Acquisition System! \nDONUTS AND COFFEE ARE PROVIDED AND FREE! Crew registration is not required. Only registered participants\, their crew\, and registered spectators are permitted. Registration is limited to 100 drivers for this event. If you have not pre-registered\, you will not be permitted onto the facility. When you arrive\, please use the east entrance. \nParticipants will be allowed to go off-site for lunch. There are several restaurants within 15 minutes of the I-X Center. However\, packed lunches are highly recommended since the schedule may be modified. Autocross is an all-day event. DESCRIPTION:Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo® Series\n“America’s Premier Autocross Championship Series” \nThe Tire Rack SCCA® ProSolo® Series is an adrenaline-pumping autocross format where solo isn’t solo. Drivers still run a course by themselves\, but start off side-by-side drag racing style and attack mirror-image courses to see who gets back to their respective finish lines first. \nIn contrast to a standard 3-run autocross\, ProSolo class competition takes 1.5 days where each driver gets three sets of runs to put together the best run from each side. Class winners are determined from putting the best right and left side runs together. \nAfter class competition\, it’s time for challenge rounds. The first is a bragging-rights Bonus Challenge drawn at random\, a Ladies Challenge for the top-performing ladies class drivers\, and the big one – the Super Challenge\, which pits the top 32 drivers from regular competition into challenge bracket competition at its finest!. \nWhere other top-level SCCA Championships like the Tire Rack Solo Nationals® and The Runoffs® are single-event winner take all competitions\, in SCCA ProSolo competitors earn Challenge points throughout the season toward the Overall Ladies and Open ProSolo Championships. SUMMARY:2024 Tire Rack SCCA Cleveland National Tour
DESCRIPTION:National Tour \nIf you are looking to experience the best sites\, the best courses\, and the best competition – either in preparation for Solo Nationals or to see where you stand against the best – The Tire Rack® SCCA Solo® National Tour is for you. \nKnown as “The Road to Lincoln\,” each National Tour event is run in a similar format to the season-ending National Championships in Lincoln Nebraska. National Tour events prepare drivers for their National Championship and typically offer tougher competition than Regional autocross events. \nThese events average more than 275 drivers at each of the various locations across the country with most of the competitors coming from nearby states. These drivers come together to get a taste of the “Nationals” experience of competition and camaraderie. \nNational Tour competition takes place over two days with a different course each day\, just like Solo Nationals. Drivers get three runs on each course with their best time from each added together for the final class standings. Runs are timed to 1/1000th of a second and knocking a cone down means a penalty of 2 seconds added to that time. All classes at National Tours are the standard Solo classes that you’ll find at Solo Nationals and in the SCCA in the Solo Rulebook. \nSCCA Starting Line will be hosting a Starting Line Driver’s Edge Experience at I-X Center\, in Cleveland\, OH in conjunction with SCCA’s Tire Rack Cleveland National Tour. This weekend-long experience is geared toward those new to National Tours. The SCCA Starting Line Driver’s Edge uses a team of successful autocross veterans who remember what it was like the first few times they pulled up to the starting line to make a run on the big stage of national-level competition. \nIn short\, you’ll be given the tools and an explanation of the ins and outs of a Tire Rack National Tour event\, arming you with the information to conquer the event without the intimidation factor that comes from doing something new. Our coaches will walk you through the event information page\, talk about run/work assignments\, teach you how the grid works\, what to do at impound\, and the information available to you at the driver’s information center. \nMost importantly\, our championship-level coaches will help you throughout the weekend\, checking in to help answer any questions that come up\, touching base in grid before your run heat\, and providing support and encouragement along the way. Think of them as your big brother or big sister for the weekend! \nThere is NO CHARGE to take part in the Starting Line Driver’s Edge Experience. This school is great for any skill level\, from seasoned veterans to the complete novice\, and allows participants to get some great seat time as well as instruction before the weekend’s competition. Instruction will take place on the event’s Test & Tune course and is a scaled-down version of their Phase 1 School. The program will net students a minimum of 12 runs with Evo’s team of National-caliber instructors. The Evo Advantage Driving School is not limited to Starting Line Driver’s Edge participants\, nor do you have to take part in both the School and the Driver’s Edge programs if you do not wish. \nThe Evo Advantage Driving School is limited to 24 students and is $125.00. Join us at Nelson Ledges Road Course in Garrettsville\, OH on April 20! \nIt will include presentations from Program representatives covering Solo\, RallyCross\, Road Rally\, Time Trials and Road Racing.  We are inviting as many of our members as we can get to bring their competition cars out that day to help facilitate meaningful conversations.  There will be presentations by representatives from all of our volunteer specialties as well so people can learn about opportunities to get involved in aspects of the sport such as Flagging & Communications\, Emergency Services\, Timing & Scoring\, Tech\, Registration\, Pit & Grid and so on.  There will also be a variety of seminars on subjects such as car prep\, brakes\, tires and data acquisition.  We will also have a variety of sponsors there from various companies that support motorsports enthusiasts. \nWE ASK THAT YOU PRE-REGISTER ON MSR TO HELP US PLAN OUR ACTIVITIES AND MEALS! \nThe day will include low-speed ride alongs for those who want to get an in-car perspective of what it’s like to be on a race track.  Cars & Coffee is invited out so weather permitting\, we hope for a cool car show. \nThis exciting day will include: presentations\, ride-alongs\, information stations\, a car show\, and door prizes! \nBREAKFAST AND LUNCH IS INCLUDED AND FREE! \n \n  \nThank you to our sponsors!
