SUMMARY:Ohio Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2025 Ohio Winter Rally (OWR). This annual hivernal tour of the Lake Erie “snowbelt” counties of far northeastern Ohio dates back to at least 1966. It was one of the core events of the long lamented Ohio Rally Championship (ORC) series.\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free\, Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with emphasis on precise timing at well placed controls. Columnar “tulip” style route instructions\, with Official Mileages for all action points (similar to a stage rally routebook)\, will be used. The ~165 mile route will wind through Ohio’s Geauga\, Ashtabula\, and surrounding counties.\nThe rally’s difficulty will be dictated by prevailing road and weather conditions. Competitors should come prepared to spend extended periods outside in severe winter conditions. \nIn an effort to help teams with limited prior timekeeping experience stay on schedule\, and to mitigate the possibility of “double jeopardy” penalties from carrying a timing error through multiple controls\, parenthetical perfect cumulative leg times will be provided at all speed change locations.\nThe rally will count toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division (GLD) Rally Championship\, and the SCCA National Touring Rally (NTR) Championship (Divisional Rally).

SUMMARY:Neohio Region\, SCCA Street Survival 2025
DESCRIPTION:Do you worry about your teenage driver or know someone who does?\nThe Tire Rack Street Survival® Program is meant for you!\nMotor vehicle accidents are the number one cause of death for teenagers in the US. In fact\, more teens die as a result of motor vehicle crashes than from drugs\, guns and violent crime combined.\nThe Tire Rack Street Survival® program is a teen safe driving program designed to go beyond driver’s education and give our young drivers the hands-on experience and tools to become safer\, smarter drivers. The program provides:\n• Trained\, qualified in-car driving instructors and classroom educational experience for each student.\n• Hands-on educational driving experience in real-world situations teaching teens car safety and control in their own vehicles\n• Challenging driving situations\, including skid control and emergency lane change on closed courses allowing students to experience abnormal vehicle behavior in a safe and supervised environment\n• A greater sense of awareness regarding sharing the road with other vehicles and focusing on controlling the student’s own vehicle\nNeohio SCCA in cooperation with Drive Team is bringing this program to Northeast Ohio at the Drive Team Facility\, 4445 State Road\, Peninsula\, Ohio on Sunday\, April 6\, 2025. The program runs from 8 AM to 4 PM. The registration fee is $125 and includes continental breakfast and lunch. The program is open to drivers 15 to 23 years of age on a learner’s permit or a regular driver’s license. To sign up\, go to\nDrive Team Inc. at www.streetsurvival.org

SUMMARY:Stars and Stripes Endurance Experience Races
DESCRIPTION:SCCA Race Experience / Endurance Experience events are focused on your chance to go SCCA wheel-to-wheel racing at lower peak levels of performance and pressure than SCCA Road Racing Events. This means you get to race with a little less pressure\, a lot more coaching\, and rules as simple as we can make them without compromising safety and good on-track attitudes and approaches. \nThis is a great way to get your Club Racing car on track and do an Endurance Race with your friends\, crew\, and family that would otherwise not be able to drive the car. \nThis is a great introduction to SCCA Racing for cars that meet Club Racing Safety Specs\, but do not fit into one of our classes. \nThis is a great event to get an older competition car back on track.

SUMMARY:Johnny Appleseed Road Rally (USRRC)
DESCRIPTION:Absolutely straightforward afternoon/evening TSD rally heading southeast through Ohio’s Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD)\, then winding south through the Appalachian foothills\, to an overnight halt in Marietta\, Ohio. The Johnny Appleseed name is a legacy from a National Rally first hosted by Neohio Region in the 1950’s. The rally has changed form over the decades\, but the name endures. This rally will take place in Canton\, Ohio. \nMore information and registration coming soon!

SUMMARY:Cleveland Alley Rallye (USRRC)
DESCRIPTION:The Alley Rallye will be a resurrection of a once hugely popular annual event organized by the now-defunct Cleveland Sport Car Club\, starting in the 1950’s. It is a lighthearted (and lightly trapped…) jaunt that will introduce participants to the full spectrum of Cleveland’s urban landscape (ie the bowels of the Rustbelt!): the post-industrial “Flats”\, distinct ethnic neighborhoods\, grids of narrow brick streets separating century-old warehouses\, mazes of alleys and loading docks beneath theaters and office towers\, and numerous breathtaking views of the mighty Cuyahoga River (yes\, THAT Cuyahoga – the one that burned!). Timekeeping equipment will be restricted to stock odometer and a basic four function non-programmable calculator (i.e. – all competitors will run at equal disadvantage.). This rally will take place in Cleveland\, Ohio. \nMore information and registration coming soon!
