Fresh on the heels of a trial run last week on the iRacing platform, the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA eSports Super Tour begins in earnest this weekend with more race groups, a seven-race schedule, and a new name thanks to long-time Sports Car Club of America® supporter Hoosier Racing Tire.
Hoosier Racing Tire is on board as the series title partner in an extension of their support for the “outdoor” version of the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour.
The races are open exclusively to SCCA members and will, of course, take place on iRacing. Each qualifying and race will be broadcast live to the public for those wishing to scratch the motorsports itch but not ready to jump behind the wheel of the virtual car themselves. Super Tour and SCCA National Championship Runoffs broadcasters Larry MacLeod and Gregg Ginsburg will be on the call for the eSports races each week.
The Hoosier SCCA eSports Super Tour calendar:
The weekly, seven-race eSports schedule will mimic many of the tracks that the traditional Super Tour competes on, beginning this Saturday, April 4 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
The full calendar is:
April 4: Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
April 11: Sebring International Raceway
April 18: VIRginia International Raceway
April 25: Circuit of the Americas
May 2: Road America
May 9: Watkins Glen International
May 16: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
The Hoosier SCCA eSports Super Tour race groups:
The Hoosier SCCA eSports Super Tour will consist of the following five race groups. Please note that Touring and Big Bore consist of multi-class racing, not unlike a traditional SCCA Road Racing weekend.

T2 – Mustang FR500
Group 3: Skip Barber Formula 2000
Group 4: Big Bore

Group 5: Global MX-5 Cup
The Hoosier SCCA eSports Super Tour weekend schedule:
Each race group will consist of 70 minutes of practice, 15 minutes for qualifying, and a 20-minute race.
Each race group’s practice times will begin as follows (all times Eastern):
4:00 pm: Spec Racer Ford
4:45 pm: Touring
5:30 pm: Skip Barber F2000
6:15 pm: Big Bore
