Extra, extra, read all about it! SCCA’s contingency registration and claims are digital for all programs in 2022!
Solo and RallyCross competitors are three years into an all-digital format, but beginning in 2022 they’ll be joined in the same program by Road Racing. That’s right, road racers – competitors are no longer required to chase down a tech official, obtain a signature on a piece of paper and submit it to the office.
Instead, the new system for all programs is done through your membership portal on my.scca.com in the same way each competitor has been registering for the same programs in recent history.
So what’s the biggest change? For road racers, you will be required to take a photo of the left, right and front of your car at the event – just a small price to pay for forgoing the tech official’s signature. For the other programs, it will migrate to the my.SCCA.com system, with a slightly different look than previously done.
In exchange for the changes, you’ll get ease of uploading, a status update of “pending,” and then “approved” or “denied” once the claim is processed. Your prize will arrive shortly after.
A full instructional video for both registering and claiming contingencies is below – and further questions can go to Brandy Wiggans for assistance.
