Winter still has a firm grasp on much of the northern United States. So, obviously, that means there can be no Sports Car Club of America motorsports events in said snowbound areas, right?
Just check out the two videos that are part of a recent news story done by WDJT-TV Ch. 58 out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Intrepid reporter Michael Schlesinger bundled up and headed out to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, in advance of a final, snowy SCCA RallyCross® being held at Road America by SCCA’s Milwaukee Region.
As you’ll see in the video, the event looks like an absolute blast! Slipping, sliding and tossing up snow everywhere, the RallyCross competitors look to be having the best time possible. And perhaps these drivers now have a leg up on other RallyCross competitors since the 2020 DirtFish SCCA RallyCross Nationals will be held at the same venue in August. Then in October, several hundred other SCCA racers will descend upon Road America for the 2020 SCCA National Championship Runoffs®.
But does Milwaukee Region just sit around waiting for things to happen later on in the year? Absolutely not! Good on ya, Milwaukee Region, for not letting the snow keep you from having fun with cars!
