Though it seems as though the season is just beginning, the 2020 Tire Rack Solo Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska, is approaching quickly – and the registration for Tier 1 participants opens tomorrow!
Tier 1 participants includes 2019 champs, 2020 event chiefs, and those handful of very special “100 percenters” – those who have attended all 47 Solo Nationals held to date.
The rest of us will want to mark the date appropriate for our own registration opening – see below to find that date, along with other key highlights, including registration opening for the Test N Tune course and individual paddock spot selection.
For the first time in the event’s history, participants have the choice between two pricing options for their registration. The Regular Entry Fee, which includes registration and standard paddock space, is $195. Participants may opt for the SCCA Unite Package. At $275, the upgrade package includes everything in the Regular Entry Fee plus an SCCA Unite shirt and photo of your car on course at Solo Nationals with the SCCA Unite and Solo Nationals logos on it. A portion of the proceeds from these packages will benefit the SCCA, are voluntary contributions and are not tax deductible.
Please, while you’re marking your calendar, don’t forget the most important date of all – this year’s Tire Rack Solo Nationals is September 7 through 11 at the Lincoln Airpark.
Key dates include:
Wednesday, June 17
3 p.m. Central: Registration opens for Tier 1 participants. Tier 1 includes 2019 Champions, 2020 event chiefs, and 100 percenters.
5 p.m. Central: Registration for Test n Tune opens to everyone for a $50 fee per 1-hour time slot that includes four timed runs.
Wednesday, June 24
3 p.m. Central: Registration opens for Tier 2 participants. Tier 2 includes 2019 podium finishers, 2019 winners of supplemental and undersubscribed classes and Silver Circle members (those who have attended at least 25 Solo Nationals events).
Wednesday, July 1
3 p.m. Central: Registration opens to remaining competitors. Cancellations will be accepted up to this date, minus a $50 administration fee.
Wednesday, August 5
3 p.m. Central: Individual paddock selection opens for registered competitors who have not elected to paddock with a Region or group to select a paddock space.
Wednesday, August 12
The Regular Entry Fee increases to $325 for those not yet registered and becomes a non-refundable fee. Registration for the SCCA Unite Package closes. Those who have registered prior to this date may still cancel, less a $100 administration fee.
Monday, August 31
This is the last day to register online
Friday, September 4
For those who entered prior to August 12, this is the last day to cancel and receive a refund (less a $100 entry fee).
